Claim this profile →Tom Doc Sullivan is one of the most respected fly fishing guides on Ireland's western loughs, based on the Dooras Peninsula in Cornamona, County Galway — a short boat ride from the finest drifts on Lough Corrib.
Tom has been guiding on the Corrib system for over 20 years. Introduced to fly fishing by his father as a child (whose own father fished Corrib before him), he grew up reading the water and never stopped. He is STANIC-certified and a qualified casting instructor, equally at home working with beginners or seasoned international visitors.
Beyond guiding, Tom is one of the most connected figures in Irish fly fishing. He is the Irish agent for Fulling Mill flies, co-presents the popular "Ireland on the Fly" podcast with Daire Whelan, has represented Ireland in World, European and Four Nations fly fishing competitions on nine occasions, and has over thirty published articles in fishing publications across Ireland and the UK. He has served as fishing consultant on two feature films and is a regular guest speaker at events including the prestigious Fly-Fishers' Club in London.
Tom specialises in wild brown trout on the fly across the western loughs — Corrib and Mask in particular — and is one of Ireland's foremost Ferox and specimen trout specialists. Boat, engine, rods and all tackle provided. Beginners very welcome.
