fisHerman is a guided fishing and boat hire service operated by Herman Molenaar, who has been guiding anglers in Ireland for over twenty-three years. Originally based at Killaloe on Lough Derg, Herman relocated to County Sligo in 2025, bringing his extensive experience to the lakes and rivers of the North West.
Specialising in pike fishing, Herman guides on a network of Sligo waters ranging from intimate small lakes to larger loughs and the River Shannon system. Pike are the primary quarry, with perch, brown trout, and coarse fish also available across the region. Fishing boat rental and belly boat fishing are offered alongside fully guided trips, giving anglers flexibility to fish independently or with expert guidance.
Herman also organises the annual Predator Battle Ireland tournament, a popular competition that draws pike anglers from across Europe. Walking holidays can be combined with fishing for a varied outdoor break in one of Ireland's most scenic counties. Pre-booking is recommended, particularly during peak pike season from autumn through spring.
