Operating from the Quay at Ballina, at the mouth of the River Moy, Judd specialises in sea trout ranging from half a pound to four pounds.
Two distinct fishing experiences are on offer. Bait fishing takes place from Judd's spacious Quicksilver 640 Pilothouse cabin cruiser, which accommodates up to four anglers with weather protection and comfort. For those who prefer fly, a dedicated lake boat designed for salt water fly fishing takes two anglers into the estuary for what Judd describes as fantastic sport.
All tackle is provided if required, and Judd's decades of local knowledge mean he knows exactly where the sea trout are running on any given tide. The season runs from mid-April through to early October, with a state fishing licence required.
