Based at Spunkane in Waterville, County Kerry, Dom offers guided fly fishing across Lough Currane and the smaller surrounding loughs, including Lough Namona and Lough Cloonaughlin.
The Waterville season runs from 17th January to 12th October. Spring salmon are the primary target early in the season on both fly and troll; from May the fishing transitions to grilse and sea trout, with the best fly fishing continuing strongly through to October. The Inny River, which flows through the Waterville valley, provides excellent river fishing from July onwards.
Dom is one of the most active and respected ghillies on the Currane system. His testimonials speak consistently of unequalled local knowledge, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for the fishery — qualities that see many of his clients return year after year. He is a regular contributor to fishing reports on the Currane system and was the angler who caught and released Lough Currane's first salmon of the 2026 season.
