Based at Lakelands House on the shores of the lake in Waterville, guide Frank provides personally tailored fishing trips for anglers of all abilities, including those with disabilities.
Privately owned motorised boats are moored just three hundred metres from the guesthouse, with easy car access to the launch point. The guiding service covers Lough Currane throughout the salmon and sea trout season from January to September, with additional access available to nearby waters including Loch Deriana, Loch Namona, Cloonaghlin Lake, the Inny River, and the Cummeragh River. Saltwater fly fishing for sea bass can also be arranged.
Whether you are chasing spring salmon, summer grilse, or sea trout under the cover of darkness, Frank's intimate knowledge of Lough Currane's drifts and holding pools ensures every trip is tailored to the conditions of the day. All equipment can be provided if required, making this an ideal option for visiting anglers who want to experience one of Kerry's legendary fisheries with a knowledgeable local guide.
