That multi-generational connection to Corrib gives Gerry an inherited knowledge of the lake's drifts, moods and fish that simply cannot be learned in a short career.
Based at prime fishing ground on the lake's edge, Gerry offers both boat hire and guided fishing from his Glann moorings. His boats are 19ft Corrib craft with minimum 6hp outboards. Secure parking is available adjacent to the moorings. Boats are hired to experienced boaters only; those unfamiliar with the lake are strongly recommended to book Gerry as guide.
Gerry is a skilled fly tyer and a Ferox specialist — Lough Corrib holds some of Ireland's biggest brown trout, and he knows where to find them. For something truly memorable, his island package includes a guided day on the water followed by a steak meal with potatoes and onions cooked on an open fire on one of Corrib's many islands. Life jackets are compulsory on all hire boats.
