He spent ten years working for the Western Fisheries Board, gaining an intimate knowledge of both lakes that few guides can match. Based at Rosscahill East on the shores of Corrib, Patrick is regarded as one of the finest fly-fishermen on the western loughs and an expert at trolling for ferox and pike.
He guides across all methods and all seasons — from the early duck fly and olive hatches through the mayfly and into the summer sedge fishing. His pike guiding on Corrib and Mask runs from mid-July through December, with Corrib regularly producing specimen fish to anglers visiting for the first time.
