The Waterville season runs from 17th January to 12th October. From January to mid-May the target is spring salmon, fished on both fly and troll. As the season progresses the focus shifts to grilse and sea trout — Lough Currane's legendary sea trout run brings some of the largest sea trout in Ireland into the lake from late spring, with the finest fly fishing continuing well into October. River fishing on the surrounding Waterville system can also be arranged during the summer months.
Boats and engines are available for daily hire for those wishing to fish independently. All fishing equipment is supplied on guided days, though clients are welcome to bring their own tackle. Four generations of ghillies have given Tom an unmatched knowledge of the lake's beats, drift lines, fly patterns and seasonal rhythms.
