Duck fly buzzer fishing in Corrib today. Tough enough day. 4 fish total. Best was close on 2lb. The others were fine fighters but on the smaller side - per the photo. 3 came to a size 14 red holo. Tried Flynn, Rabbit, Knockferry, Burnt House and a few other spots, There were patches where duckfly were hatching but it was sporadic enough. Saw only a handful of fish move all day. When the wind dropped and heat picked up I got 3 of the fish in 25 mins from 11:45 to 12:10 and the other about 55 mins later at 1:05. All released to fight another day. Not another touch all day, Most boats had a tough day with one or two fish being caught and several boats blanking this side of the lake. I believe Thurs was a decent day for a lot of boats but Fri was also a tough day. Nice to get out all the same and get the season started.
